90 Day Fiancé: Avery Reveals Tragic Loss To Omar’s Family In Earthquake
February was when 90 Day Fiancé’s Omar and Avery were to celebrate four years of marriage, but the couple is currently mourning the loss of their near and dear ones instead. On their joint Instagram account, Avery shared a heartbreaking post revealing the death of Omar’s five close family members due to the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
“What we originally thought was only 4 now became 5 deaths,” Avery wrote in the caption. She confessed that three out of the five victims were very young children. “Our heart is hurting as well as so many other families in Turkey and Syria. May Allah ease the pain,” Avery added. The accompanying photos in the carousel post showed the innocent little angels who lost their lives along with 90 Day Fiancé star Omar’s relatives, their late parents.
90 Day Fiancé Fans Send Their Condolences To Avery & Omar
It has been a week since a deadly earthquake struck southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria on February 6. As per NBC News, the death toll of the devastating earthquake has passed 35,000, and rescue and recovery efforts are still underway. The 7.8 magnitude quake and a powerful aftershock caused thousands of buildings in Turkey and Syria to collapse, and has left millions homeless. With terrifying news coming in from the countries, 90 Day Fiancé cast members who belong to Turkey and Syria were inundated with messages of concern from social media followers. This includes Omar, who fans are now reaching out to via Instagram comments. Some messages for the 90 Day Fiancé dentist Omar read, “I’m so sorry for your loss. May Allah ease your pain” and “May Allah bring you both ease during this tragic time and grant your loved ones janna. Ameen” from over 2,000 comments.
Nebraska woman Anna Campisi is also married to Mursel Mistanoglu from Turkey. The 90 Day Fiancé season 7 couple also gave fans no hope that they’d stay together during the show. But Anna and Mursel are in a happy marriage, despite their language barrier, and even share a baby and a business. Anna too responded to her Instagram followers after the earthquake by revealing she and Mursel are trying to help out his nation by collecting donations for the victims. Mursel’s family, that is Anna’s in-laws are safe because they live in a different nation.
Anna, however, got criticized by her followers for posting a light-hearted post amidst the tragedy. On the other hand, Avery and Omar are grieving while 90 Day Fiancé fans send them strength. Omar recently got accepted into a competitive dental program in the U.S. and the couple celebrated his win in December 2022. The tragedy that took place just when Avery and Omar were about to ring in their fifth year as a married couple must have certainly caused them great pain. For now, all that 90 Day Fiancé fans can do is send them healing prayers.
