‘Beyond The Gates’ Spoilers: Jon Lindstrom And Cady McClain Join BTG As New Castmates
‘Beyond the Gates’ (BTG) spoilers confirm that Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain will be joining the cast of BTG. The former couple have signed on to play the roles of Joey Armstrong and Pamela Curtis on the new soap.
Jon Lindstrom is best known for playing Kevin Collins on General Hospital, and Cady McClain is a soap icon in her own right. She played Dixie Cooney on All My Children and Jennifer Deveraux on Days Of Our Lives.
Michele Val Jean shared this information during a Zoom interview. The show’s creator was elated to reveal this exciting bit of casting news.
Lindstrom and McClain were in the Zoom meeting. McClain enthused,
“I’m just so thrilled to be part of this incredible cast and this amazing show.”
“I think it is so exciting,”
She beamed.
“It’s such a beautiful production, such amazing actors, and I have the great pleasure of getting to work a great deal with Karla Mosley, and we have so much fun. Probably too much fun!”
“Pamela will be in the thick of the storyline with Mosley’s character, Dani,”
She explained.
“We play very, very, very, very, very dear old friends, and we get up to a bit of trouble,”
McClain teased.
Lindstrom also talked about his character, Joey, who’s an entrepreneur.
“Joey comes from the other side of the tracks,”
He explained.
“He fought his way up in many ways but never lost his charm. But Joey runs a casino, which, if you’ve ever been inside a casino, you know a casino is kind of like what a bar is to an alcoholic.”
He continued,
“So, people can get into much trouble around Joey, and Joey doesn’t like trouble. He knows how to end trouble, but he doesn’t like trouble.”

Interestingly, Lindstrom and McClain recently divorced after being married for ten years. They met on the now-defunct soap As The World Turns, where Lindstrom played Craig Montgomery, and McClain played Rosanna Cabot.
They married on Valentine’s Day, 2014, and officially separated in April 2024. Val Jean and Lindstrom have a close relationship dating back to the 90s when Val Jean wrote for General Hospital.
Lindstrom has played Kevin Collins on GH since 1993, with a break in between to be on Port Charles and As The World Turns. Jon also played Kevin’s evil twin brother, Ryan Chamberlain, until February 2023, when the character was killed off.
Lindstrom and McClain’s first airdates have not been disclosed. However, McClain’s character, Pamela, will be there to support Dani when her ex-husband, Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett), ties the knot with the woman who broke up their marriage, Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings).
It will be BTG’s fifth episode, which was shot in November. Lindstrom was credited during the show’s thirteenth episode, which was filmed in December. Lindstrom had high praise for Val Jean, whom he called “the best writer in the business.”
It hasn’t been determined if Lindstrom’s time on BTG would take him away from GH. Kevin was last seen in Port Charles in December 2024.
