It looks like BTG viewers are set to learn more about the romance between Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and his husband, Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) as they navigate through potentially challenging times.
Who Is Martin Richardson?
Off the cusp of the very first show, BTG viewers can expect more soapy drama as they find out more about Martin and Smitty.
The two are married and share two adopted children, Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) and Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson).
Martin is a congressman, who aspires to be the first gay President of the United States. As part of the Dupree family, his mom is Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix) and his grandfather is Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), a former senator and civil rights activist.
Even though his family has always been supportive, Martin finds it challenging to live up to his grandfather’s legacy.
During Tuesday’s show, viewers will get a taste of some drama between the congressman and his stay-at-home husband. While Smitty has done a wonderful job as the main caretaker of the children, he is yearning for more.
Smitty is leaning toward a return to his writing career; however, Martin likes the way things are right now and worries that their home life could change if Smitty is more preoccupied with work than the kids and things that need to get done around the house.
Trouble In Paradise?
Based on the previews and information from the soap, Smitty and Martin seem like one of the more established couples on the show.
